NLA - HC Fribourg-Gottéron has presented former player Christian Dubé as their new team manager at today's press conference. Furthermore, they have officialised the signing of Kari Martikainen as new assistant coach.

Christian Dubé played his last professional hockey game for HC Fribourg-Gottéron last Saturday against the Kloten Flyers and has now made the decision to move to the Dragons' front office as of next season and signed a four-year deal.

The 37-year-old forward has played a total of 816 NLA games with HC Lugano, SC Bern and HC Fribourg-Gottéron, in which he scored 829 points (251 goals, 578 assists).

HCFG's new assistant coach, Kari Martikainen, has already played in Switzerland during his playing career for the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers and the ZSC Lions. The former defenseman is set to work intensively with Fribourg-Gottéron's defensive corps during the next season.

Additionally the Dragons' have announced the signing of Yannick Rathgeb to a two-year contract. The 19-year-old defenseman joins them from the Plymouth Whalers in the OHL. HCFG also signed their youngster David Wildhaber to a professional contract, which will last until the end of the 2015-16 season.

Head coach Gerd Zenhäusern also informed that the fourth import player for the upcoming season will be a forward. Who this will be, is not yet known.

The club also indicates that they are close to signing a partnership-agreement with an NLB team. (lcu)
