The ZSC Lions announce that they have extended the contract with their netminder Niklas Schlegel for another year. The 21-year-old will thus stay in Zurich until the end of the 2016-17 season.

Niklas Schlegel is a product of the Lions' organization and has made his NLA debut during 2014-15. This season, and due to Lukas Flüeler's injury-related absence current No.1 between ZSC's pipes, Schlegel has completed a total of 24 games so far, having a total save percentage of .922 and a Goal-Against-Average (GAA) of 2.23.
