Martin Ness, who joined SC Bern during the season from HC Fribourg-Gottéron, has signed a new 2-year-contract with SCB. The 22-year-old forward will stay in the capital city until the end of the 2017-18 season.

In December, Ness suffered a shoulder injury and has been sidelined since. Now, however, the young forward not only has extended his contract with SC Bern, but is also ready to return to their lineup.

In other news, EHC Visp's goaltender Matthias Schoder and defenseman Sandro Wiedmer will join SC Bern via B-license for the playoffs. SC Langenthal's forward Marc Kämpf has already arrived in Bern. (tme)
