Steinmann played his last game in October 2015 against Lausanne HC, where he injured himself. The forward then tried to work on a comeback, but he is still suffering from dizziness and concentration difficulties.

Steinmann will now return to EV Zug, where he will be able to do an internship in sports management. In his NLA career, Steinmann played a total of  496 games and scored  46 goals and 105 assists. (abu)
