As EHC Kloten announces, they have signed Bobby Sanguinetti to a one-year contract. The American defenseman, who last played in the AHL, will thus stay with Kloten until the end of the 2016-17 season.

The 28-year-old defenseman is a former first round pick of the New York Rangers and appeared in 45 NHL games for them and the Carolina Hurricanes.

However, he mostly played in the AHL throughout his career, scoring 61 goals and 186 assists in 429 games. Last season, he scored seven goals and eight assists in 40 games for the Rochester Americans. His contract will run through 2017. (mso)
