Rumors had been swirling around about Loichat leaving SC Bern, and although HCFG's president Michel Volet was not ready to confirm them yesterday, now they can be laid to rest. The 24-year-old forward has scored eight points (four goals, four assists) in 39 games for the Bears this year. His new contract runs through 2017.

As for Killian Mottet, he has decided to stay put in Fribourg, even though he had offers from other teams, namely HC Ambrì-Piotta. The 24-year-old is currently in his second full season with Gottéron and has scored 16 points (seven goals, nine assists) in 40 games. He will stay in Fribourg until 2016. (mso)
