In an interview with the Russian Website championat.com, KHL president Dmitry Chernyshenko reveals that he has received several applications from European clubs. Apparently, Genève-Servette HC is among them.

Asked about the progress the league is making in the discussions regarding a KHL team in London, Chernyshenko had this to say: "The talks are at low intensity. There are talks, but I don't want to discuss proposals. There are initiatives from Milan, Dresden and Geneva. Applications have come in."

However, Chernyshenko did not elaborate on his answer. It is also not clear whether that was a formal application to join the league or if it was merely a declaration of interest. Genève-Servette HC has not yet reacted to the KHL president's statement. (mso)
