In an interview with La Région (Nord Vaudois), Lausanne HC's Simon Le Coultre confirms that he will indeed go overseas and play for QMJHL team Monton Wildcats in the upcoming season.

"I think that is the best option for me to make further progress," says the 17-year-old defenseman. "I will play in a championship that is more physical and where everything is faster. I will find myself there as an import player. I do not have room for errors."

Simon Le Coultre, who was selected 39th overall in the 2016 CHL Import Draft, is currently busy playing in the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup with the U18 Swiss national team. Last season, he scored four goals and 19 assists in 48 games for LHC's Elite A team. (mso)
