Medical Reports

Midway through last night's game between SC Langenthal and Hockey Thurgau, HCT's Simon Sterchi checked Langenthal's captain Stefan Tschannen into the boards. The 31-year-old might be severely injured.

After this scene, Tschannen had to be taken to the hospital. The Berner Zeitung assumes that his injury could be rather severe. According to the same source, SC Langenthal is going to inform about the extent of Tschannen's injury over the course of the day.

The injury could also concern EHC Biel who has acquired Stefan Tschannen's B-license for the remainder of the season. (tme)

UPDATE As SC Langenthal informs, Stefan Tschannen has suffered an upper-body injury and will most likely not be able to play in the upcoming playoffs. Further examinations will take place in the next two days. (tme) - 10 February 2016, 11:49 AM
