Medical Reports

At today's press conference, Lausanne HC's team manager Jan Alston provided a medical update on the club's latest signing, Swedish defender Jonas Junland, who sustained an injury in the preparation game against Switzerland one month ago.

"We have good news," Alston said. "We first feared torn ligaments, but as it turned out Jonas Junland is suffering only from a sprained knee." Therefore, the 28-year-old Swede is not expected to be sidelined for up to eight months, but for four to six weeks only. (rlu)
