SC Bern's Canadian forward Andrew Ebbett out for several weeks

Injury woes in Switzerland's capital already at the beginning of the season? It seems like. As SC Bern announces, they will have to make do without Andrew Ebbett for several weeks.

The 33-year-old Canadian forward is suffering from an undisclosed injury which he sustained in yesterday's CHL-game against Linz. As a consequence, the Bears will start into the season with only two of their imports, defender Maxim Noreau and forward Mark Arcobello.

In addition to Ebbett, as the Berner Zeitung reported in today's edition, also defenseman Eric Blum had to quit yesterday's game due to injury and might be questionnable for Friday's season opener against the Tigers. (rlu)
