However, the Lions are far from being the only team interested in him. As Skellefteå AIK's general manager Mikael Lindgren told Aftonbladet, they have been in contact with Rundblad: "He has not made his decision yet. However, he has said that he wants to stay in the NHL, but he knows that we are interested."

The defenseman joined the Lions on loan from the Hawks in January and appeared in 15 games for them, scoring two goals and 14 assists. Rundblad then returned to the Blackhawks and appeared in three postseason games for them. (mso)
