According to Michele Bolognini (Hockey33). Melvin Nyffeler is apparently among the candidates for the vacant goaltender position of HC Bolzano. Nyffeler's contract with the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers expired in spring.
Photo SC Rapperswil-Jona LakersNyffeler had been in the running for the back-up netminder position of HC Ambrì-Piotta, but ultimately lost out to Genève-Servette HC's Gauthier Descloux. The youngster, who is a product of the ZSC Lions' organisation, thus now might have the chance to play in the EBEL.
The 21-year-old goaltender had a good last season with the Lakers, posting a .928 save percentage in 27 regular season games and a .935 save percentage in 17 playoff games. (mso)
