Roman Wick, ZSC's forward and second-best scorer of the National League A, has been voted as the "Most Valuable Player" of the Regular Season 2013/2014. After HC Davos' Reto von Arx in 2011 and EHC Biel's Reto Berra in 2012, Wick is only the third Swiss player who was given this honour.

Also in other categories, players of the ZSC Lions came out on top. Whereas Lukas Flüeler (nine votes) has been elected as "Best Goaltender" in a very close race with Lausanne HC's Cristobal Huet (eight votes), the Canadian Marc-André Bergeron was voted as "Best Defenseman" thanks to an impressive +27 rating at the end of the regular season.

However, ZSC's coach Marc Crawford has to share the award as "Coach of the Year" with HC Lugano's Patrick Fischer. Fischer not only managed to rebuild Lugano's team, but also supported the development of the 19-year-old Latvian goaltender Elvis Merzlikins who has been elected as the "Newcomer of the Season".
