Meister is looking forward to his new job: "For me it was an easy decision to return to my roots after 12 years. I have clear ideas and I conceptualize everything long-term."

The 49-year-old had already been part of EV Landshut, when he was still in his active playing days as a goaltender. He now returns to Germany, after he had spent the last three season as SC Bern's goaltending coach and head coach of the Elite Novizen team, with which he won the Swiss Championship this season.

Rupert Meister will have his first day in his new position on the frist of May.
