NLA - As it was already rumored this week, David Jobin and SC Bern have agreed to extend their contract for another two years. He will thus stay with the Bears until the end of the 2016/17 season.

The 33-year-old defenseman, who is currently in his 17th season with the Bears, has decided to take the offer Sven Leuenberger issued him and stay in the capital city. Other teams, notably EHC Biel, were interested in signing him for the next season, but in the end Jobin remained faithful to SCB.

David Jobin has played 790 games for SC Bern since 1998, scoring 224 points (43 goals, 181 assists). He was also able to celebrate three Swiss championship titles with the club. His contract, which would have expired this summer, now runs through 2017.
