EV Zug's forward Josh Holden had been suspended for a total of five games (plus fine of CHF 2,000) due to a violation of IIHF rule 159 iii (slashing) against KF's top-scorer Tommi Santala in the game on January 31.

The Kloten Flyers are appealing single judge Reto Steinmann's decision, asking for a suspension of more than five games. (lcu)
