As Genève-Servette HC's team manager and coach Chris McSorley tells Le Nouvelliste, he started contract negotiations with his captain Goran Bezina in December and would like to keep him on his roster.

McSorley confirms that he is indeed willing to sign Bezina to a new contract. However, he has to accept a pay cut. Therefore, McSorley told him to offer his services to other clubs as well so he can determine his value on the market. In November, the same source wrote that Bezina was hopeful to resolve his contractual situation until the end of 2015.

Bezina joined the Grenats in 2004 and has been their captain since the 2006-07 season. This season so far, the 35-year-old has appeared in 34 games for Geneva, scoring ten points (two goals, eight assists). (bsc)
