A lot of names have been dropped throughout the last couple of days regarding the head coaching position of Lausanne HC, among them John Fust. However, his name can likely be crossed off the list.

According to 24 heures, Fust would be interested in the position. However, as EHC Visp's CEO Sébastien Pico tells Le Nouvelliste, they have not received a request from their new head coach - or Lausanne HC for that matter - in that direction and adds that "John Fust has a contract with us. There are no plans to release him [out of it]."

He further elaborates that he would be surprised if Lausanne HC worked something out with Fust behind their backs and that he does not wish to comment on the "desires of his coach". EHC Visp had introduced Fust as their new head coach last Friday. (mso)
