According to suedostschweiz.ch, center Mattias Sjögren is not the only option HC Davos is considering for the upcoming season. Apparently, they would also be interested in the New York Rangers' Viktor Stålberg.

However, Arno del Curto is not yet ready to talk about the new import players yet: "We have not even decided if we are signing a winger or a center player, so there is nothing to say. Except for: we are going to take the necessary time [to make a decision]."

Stålberg, 30, is a winger and is currently busy in the playoffs with the New York Rangers. The Swede has appeared in almost 450 NHL games for the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Chicago Blackhawks (2012-13 Stanley Cup Champion), the Nashville Predators and the Rangers. This season, he has scored nine goals and eleven assists in 76 games. His contract expires at the end of the season. (mso)
