Already in July there has been talks of a multi-year extension offer. As Ticinonews now reports, HC Ambrì-Piotta has supposedly offered their 26-year-old netminder Sandro Zurkirchen a three-year extension deal.

With this extension offer, according to the same source, the Biancoblù reportedly tried to counteract the contract offer which has its origin in Lausanne. A final decision in this case is expected to be taken until Christmas, at the latest.

Zurkirchen, whose contract runs through April next year, is suiting up for the Biancoblù since 2013 and appeared in 115 games for them so far. Last season, he posted a .915 save percentage in 48 games. (rlu)
