Two days after SC Bern stepped back from their contract with Kris Versteeg, SC Bern has found a new forward for the upcoming season. They have signed American forward Ryan Lasch to a one-year contract.
Photo Mats Fäldt / PixabayThe 29-year-old forward last played for Frölunda HC and won the SHL title with the team as well as the Champions Hockey League. Lasch led the scoring list of the SHL last season, scoring 15 goals and 31 assists in 51 games.
The American's contract will last until the end of the 2016-17 season. Lasch will arrive in Bern on Friday. It is not yet sure, however, if he will be eligible to play in the games of this weekend. (mso)
I'm excited and pumped for the new opportunity to join @scbern_news for the upcoming season! Heard the fans are crazy! Can't wait
