Weber informed the Board of Directors and the management of the Thurgauer Eishockey AG about his decision today: "This solution is the best for the team and for the club. New impulses are now important for the development of the team."

President Ronny Keller and the Board of Directors are sad to see Weber go: "We have lost a coach with proven expertise. We respect his decision and thank him for his work over the past 3 seasons and wish him well in his future endeavors."

The 51-year-old joined Hockey Thurgau in May 2013 and led the clubs to the playoffs again. His contract with them would have been valid until the end of the season. (mso)
